12) Amul Dairy 1946 December : In 1946, inspired by Sardar Vallabhai Patel and led by Morarji Desai and Shri Tribhuvan Das Patel, the milk producers of Khera (dist) of Gujrat went on 15 days strike to withdraw Bombay govt decision in granting monopoly procurement rights to “POLSON” a private dairy. Soon primary village milk producers society was registered in October 1946. On December 1946, the Khera district Cooperative milk producers milk union known as “AMUL” was registered
